This leg started from CYYZ (north bay airport) to KJFK (John F. Kennedy Intl) I left at about 4:30 PM local time, and I finally got parked at about 8:00 PM Local time. I would have started the flight earlier, but during the past couple of days, with newyears happening and all, it was alot busyer then I ever thought imaginable!!
the first thing I do when I get to my plane is start it up and turn on all of the heaters, because it is COLD! (about -10C!!) Then AFTER I have all of the heaters running, I put all of my supplies for the trip in the plane! Thank heavens!!! I am finally in the nice warm plane!!!
I get off the ground, get some altutde, so I don't hit the trees at the end of the runway! :o
I finally break through the thick layer of clouds into a beautiful sunset!
I am just starting to get into some turbelance, I hope it wont be nothing major!
Just starting to go over lake ontario, still fairly low visibility, but it is starting to clear up, but the gusts of winds seem to be getting stronger.
WOW!!!! LOOK AT THOSE WINDS!!!! (yes, that is 66 knots!!!)
finally after about 1 3/4 hours, I get near New York, and I am always having to locate other aircraft now, no time to do any sightseeing!
in the high winds, I am hadto abort a landing! Now I am back on approch, locked onto the ILS, and crossing my fingers that I will not have to abort snother one! it takes a long time with all of the aircraft that are there!!!
Another gust of wind hit, I thought that I might have to about this one too! :'(
managed to get the plane straightened out for landing, and TOUCHDOWN!!!

now...... Just to taxi for 15 min to the parking gate!
Well, the trip is done, for today, anyway! now. . . Where to go sleep?? Hmmm.... The back of the plane?
